South west builders merchants calls for Community Fund nominations

RGB Building Supplies’ Well Built Community Fund aims to help groups, charities and schools from across the south west to finance projects they would otherwise be unable to complete. For its next giveaway, the builders merchant is offering £1,000 to help transform a kitchen or bathroom area.

Perhaps a school would like to update its kitchen cupboards, or add new appliances to a teaching space, or a community centre would like to create an inclusive bathroom area. Whatever the project, RGB would like to hear how groups in the local area would use the donation.

The builders merchant will then select three finalists from all the nominations received and the public will be invited to vote for who they would like to receive the £1,000 donation.

Kevin Fenlon, CEO at RGB, commented:

“Kitchens and bathrooms are often essential spaces for many community focused groups, so we’re delighted to be able to assist with a project and look forward to hearing how people would use the donation.”

To apply for £1,000 to spend at an RGB branch, groups, charities and schools in the Devon, Cornwall and Somerset areas simply need to email RGB@pmwcom.co.uk explaining how a donation will help transform a kitchen or bathroom area. Nominations can also be posted to RGB Community Fund, c/o PMW Communications, PO Box 167, Bideford, Devon, EX39 9DU. The closing date for nominations is Sunday 27th October.

Until February 2020, RGB will also be inviting groups to apply for £1,000 worth of tools and building materials, and timber and landscaping products.

Terms and conditions and further information about the different categories being supported by the Community Fund can be found on RGB’s website.
