Local employer Cameron scoops ‘Great Places to Work’ and ‘Best Workplaces for Wellbeing’ accolades
Part of the Tara Group, Cameron Homes, alongside sister companies Galliers Home and Keon Homes, has been ranked in this year’s exclusive ‘Great Places to Work’ and ‘Best Workplaces for Wellbeing’ nationwide listings.
Employing 250 local people across the region, the three companies are the only house builders to feature in the prestigious lists, leading the way in the industry with their commitment to creating a nurturing company culture and delivering employee satisfaction and excellent career development potential.

With only 105 companies making the list for the ‘Great Places to Work’ and 93 medium-sized businesses listed in ‘Best Workplaces for Wellbeing’ across the UK, competition for rankings was fierce, with Cameron Homes placing 55th.
The Great Place to Work list listens to employee voices to determine what makes a truly great place to work. Organisations seeking a coveted place on the list must undertake a thorough, four-step process including a two-week employee trust survey and in-depth culture audit in order to achieve Great Places to Work certification. The annual ‘Best Workplaces’ lists is then selected from the pool of certified organisations with more than 20 employees.
The Best Workplaces for Wellbeing rankings comprise organisations which have succeeded in making their employees experience high levels of wellbeing in their workplace. To determine the list, culture experts analysed thousands of employee surveys, assessing their holistic experience of wellbeing at work though fundamental facts of employee wellbeing, including work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.
