H Clarke and Sons Group Chooses Inseego’s Fleet Telematics to Boost Performance and Safety
H Clarke and Sons Group, a specialist provider of mechanical and electrical services to the commercial, industrial and domestic sectors, has selected a fleet telematics solution from Inseego. The company has rolled-out the system to an initial 44 vans, used by its team of engineers, as part of plans to consolidate fleet technology requirements and ensure complete visibility over its vehicle fleet.
“We have a diverse multi-skilled group of companies, offering a wide range of plumbing, heating, wastewater, sewage, air conditioning and asbestos removal services, which is dispersed across North Yorkshire and Scotland,” explains Gavin Loynes, Group Fleet and Plant Manager at H Clarke and Sons Group. “We recognised the need for a single system that could be used across all parts of the business, which would help us maintain and improve productivity levels, customer service and driver safety.”
H Clarke and Sons Group previously tracked around a half of its 90 vehicles, but with the adoption of the Inseego telematics solution the company now has the means to monitor the entire fleet. The system was chosen following a thorough review of the marketplace based on its ability to deliver an advanced tracking tool that was reliable and easy-to-use, which could meet the differing requirements of the company’s helpdesk, line managers and the fleet team.
The comprehensive reporting package is enabling H Clarke and Sons Group to access operational performance data, saving time keeping track of working hours, vehicle usage and SLA compliance. The company is also using the system to monitor individual driver behaviour and speeding events, which has made it possible to implement targeted action plans to keep employees safe and ensure vehicles are not subject to excessive wear.
“The aim moving forward is to transfer all our vehicles to the same fleet telematics system when appropriate to further boost the achievable operational, efficiency and performance benefits on offer. Inseego has gone above and beyond to ensure the roll-out of the system was hassle-free, without any unnecessary disruption to the business. Their team is always on hand to quickly resolve any issues or answer and queries we had,” adds Gavin Loynes.
Steve Thomas, Managing Director of Inseego UK Ltd said: “Most vehicle operators want a telematics solution that is highly functional, to support all aspects of their fleet operation, but at the same time straightforward and simple to use. The user experience is so important when trying to get the most out of fleet technology and this is why companies such as H Clarke and Sons Group are choosing Inseego.”
