Crowdfunding Swansea Brewery aspires to become ‘household name’
The founders of a Welsh microbrewery have huge ambitions for the business and are excited for the increased opportunities after launching a crowdfunding campaign.
Boss Brewing, founded by Roy Allkin and Sarah John in Swansea, produces a range of multi award-winning beers and is giving fans the chance to invest in its rapidly growing business.
In recent events, Boss Brewery was thrown into the limelight after British comedian Joe Lycett changed his name to Hugo Boss as part of a revenge mission in support of a number of small businesses, including Boss Brewery.
The brewery already has an impressive array of trade deals and can count major retailers Tesco, Asda, the Co-op and Morrisons among its customers. It also has listings with eight wholesalers across the UK, giving the brewery national exposure. The young company has already impressively managed to feature nationally with large pub companies including JD Wetherspoon and Mitchells and Butlers.
Boss also has a thriving export arm and supplies beer to the LCBO in Canada (the world’s biggest beer buyer) in addition to agents in France, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and Germany. Export expansion plans for this year include moving into Japan, China and the USA with the determined founders aiming for the brewery to become a global player.
Boss Brewing is aiming to raise £150,000 from new shareholders via crowdfunding and the campaign will run publicly for one month only on the Crowdcube platform, which is the worlds latest equity crowdfunder.
The investments made into the company will go towards increasing their brewing capacity, increasing production and meeting the ever-growing high demand for their beer.
In return for an investment, Boss Brewing is offering a variety of perks, including exclusive Boss investor discounts and rewards. They are currently accepting pre-registered interest for the investment to ensure keen investors don’t miss out.
Roy Allkin, Co-founder of the company says
‘The management team has a combined 50 years experience across a broad spectrum of the real ale and craft beer market in the UK and abroad. It’s an exciting time for Boss Brewing and we want to share our journey with those who are as passionate about the beer industry as we are.’
Sarah John, Fellow Co-founder adds,
‘We’ve entirely self-funded to date as we had such faith in the vision and the proof has been in the pudding. We’re super ambitious and can’t wait to push the growth onto the next level with this investment and fulfil even more major contracts.’
