Lockdown easing app launched to get UK moving
UK software company TAAP is helping small, medium and large businesses get up and running post lockdown with the TAAP Visitor Book app.
Originally launched to help create contactless digital receptions for offices, interest in the sector agnostic app has spiked as more and more businesses look for innovative contactless solutions to help them manage the post lockdown rules.
As well as office receptions, the app is also helping the likes of pubs and restaurants open their doors. By digitally logging customers and visitors coming and going, the TAAP Visitor Book app provides a simple, low-cost, scalable solution to help businesses comply with government guidelines.
There is no special hardware required, just access to the internet. For businesses, the cost is £50 per month plus £5 per month for each premise or site. However, for their visitors the app is free to download.
After the visitor has filled in their details on the app, they can log into any business subscribed to the TAAP Visitor book system in seconds.
As the system is GDPR compliant, they can be confident their data is secure. As well as logging people in, businesses can also digitally provide conditions of entry such as health & safety policies, and in the current climate, a checklist of COVID-19 symptoms.
Rather than different businesses launching their own solutions, the more companies that sign up to the TAAP Visitor Book system, the more the app can become a valuable tool in the fight against COVID-19.
The app provides a more accurate, and as it is touch-free, a more hygienic solution to getting people’s details than the old-fashioned paper-based approaches many are adopting. Health authorities can speedily access the details of anyone who visited subscribing premises if they need to contact them in the event of a coronavirus outbreak.
Already many office owners, and business centres have signed up to the TAAP Visitor Book app including the award-winning Kinetic Business Centre in Borehamwood, and leading office investor, Gerald Eve.
Working with its partner Bell Integration, the TAAP Visitor Book app has been included as part of a package offering business customers contactless access control to their buildings with temperature screening through all-in-one infrared temperature sensing tablets.
