Applied Driving Techniques Boosts Software Development With Streamsoft Acquisition

Applied Driving Techniques (ADT) has strengthened its in-house development capabilities to better meet the growing demand for technology-led driver and fleet safety management solutions. The company has acquired Fareham-based StreamSoft, a bespoke software and mobile app development company that has longstanding experience working within the fleet marketplace.

“Technology is playing a crucial role in improving driver welfare and reducing fleet risk as we move into an increasingly data rich world,” explains Andy Phillips, Global Managing Partner of Applied Driving Techniques (Global Solutions) Ltd. “As a business that is committed to continued innovation and service excellence, we recognised the value of creating an internal development resource that would help us to deliver road safety best practice.”

StreamSoft has been working with ADT for the past six years and has been responsible for developing online fleet compliance platform, Riskmapp. More recently, the company played a key role in the launch of AI-powered driver and behavioural safety app, Applied Companion. This joint initiative between ADT and Sfara has resulted in the most comprehensive driver monitoring and engagement tool currently available in the marketplace.

“The acquisition of StreamSoft is part of our customer-focused strategy to be an agile and responsive organisation. More and more fleet clients want bespoke compliance and risk management solutions – often including system integration and process automation – so it made sense to have the internal resource in place to meet these precise needs,” adds Phillips.

Mark Viccars, Operations Director at StreamSoft said: “We are excited to be joining such a forward-thinking business that is rapidly expanding both in the UK and internationally. There is a huge opportunity moving forward to contribute to the ongoing success of ADT and make a real difference by helping to improve road safety and reduce road risk.”
