PARTNERSHIP housing expert and leading provider of innovative residential construction and regeneration developments Lovell Partnerships has bolstered its team in the Midlands with the addition of two new assistant partnership managers – Rebekah Bacon and Chantel Cresswell.
Rebekah and Chantel join as assistant partnership managers to support the company’s key focus on developing partnerships with housing authorities, local authorities, and other businesses in the housing sector to bring new housing schemes to the market. Rebekah’s role will cover the East Midlands, while Chantel’s will focus on the West Midlands, with both looking to build relationships, manage partnerships, and ultimately accelerate the provision of multi-tenure housing in the region.
Rebekah’s appointment will play a key role in Lovell’s growth in the East Midlands, providing a dedicated role for cultivating the relationships needed to bolster presence in the region. Having previously worked as a development officer at Futures Housing Group, her experience provides her with a unique understanding of both sides of the partnership relationship.
She said: “I’m thrilled to join the team to strengthen existing partnerships, build new relationships, and grow our overall presence in the East Midlands, as well as support and shape the overall vision to accelerate provision of multi-tenure housing in the region into 2022 and beyond.”
Meanwhile in the West Midlands, Chantel brings property procurement experience to the team, joining from investment company Safe as Houses, which bought and regenerated building for use in the care sector. Paired with additional experience in the housing sector, she will assist the business in ramping up its activity in the West Midlands, including several significant sites in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority.
She said: “It’s a really exciting time to join the team, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the fantastic work already being carried out in the West Midlands. Partnerships play a central role in combating the current housing crisis and through a joined-up approach we can all collectively work on tackling the challenge head on.”
The arrival of the new duo follows several new development projects, partnerships and client wins since the start of the year for Lovell, which has a long track record in delivering ‘multi-tenure’ housing schemes, as well as new-build housing and regeneration work.
Several significant schemes are taking forward strides in the Midlands, including the creation of 234 homes on the site of an old foundry on Fountain Lane in Oldbury and 190 homes at Branston Locks in Burton-on-Trent – both of which are schemes being delivered in partnership with housing association partners.
