The team at recruitment specialists Ambitions Personnel are celebrating after two of its directors have been recognised as #MPHERoes by Newark MP, Robert Jenrick.
MP HERoes is a Savvitas programme in partnership with NatWest. It aims to encourage, celebrate and support female enterprise throughout the country and across all sectors and industries in the UK. Each MP must choose a successful woman business owner in their constituency to be nominated as MP HERoes. In this case, the honour is shared between Managing Director Mandy Watson and Director Claire Bishop.
The main goal of this is to build a talent pool of local role models and create a sustainable and supportive peer group in each area.
Mandy started Ambitions Personnel from scratch in 1990, she was then joined five years later by Claire. They now work together to run a successful recruitment business with 13 high street offices and a turnover of more than £45 million. The hard work both Mandy and Claire have put into the business over the past 30 years makes them a good choice for the accolade.
Managing Director, Mandy Watson, said: “I feel so proud to have been nominated, alongside Claire, as MP HERoes. I think it’s such a good programme with a fantastic goal. By recognising female enterprise throughout the country, hopefully, more women will be inspired to either start up their own businesses or be pushed to grow within their industry.”
Director, Claire Bishop, added: “We would like to say a big thank you to Robert Jenrick for the nomination from both Mandy and me, as well as from Ambitions Personnel. For him to have nominated us to represent female enterprise in the UK means a lot.
“We can’t wait to get further involved with the programme and help to build an uplifting community for women in business.”
