Opencast celebrates London tech week with Open house event at new capital hub

Opencast, one of the UK’s fastest-growing technology consultancies, this month brings together people from the London tech community with its senior executives and others working in the capital for an ‘open house’ networking reception at its new London hub in Shoreditch.

Taking place during London Tech Week, the capital’s annual festival of digital innovation, the Opencast reception celebrates the company’s expanding presence in the capital, as well as sharing its forward-thinking working culture.

The event, happening on Tuesday 14 June from 6.30-8.30pm, will connect Opencast people with key contacts in the capital working for big enterprise, government and universities.

Now its 10th year, Newcastle-founded Opencast opened the doors to its London hub in April, alongside a further hub in Leeds – and a new future-facing hybrid headquarters space on Tyneside. A further Opencast hub opens in Edinburgh in July. All three city hubs are in buildings operated by Spaces, part of the Regus group.

Opencast now employs over 250 full-time consultants across the UK, and in 2022 plans to more than double the number of people working for the business.

Its flexible working policy does not impose a requirement to be in an office at any one time – rather, it is led by trust and the principle of working in the right place at the right time to deliver impact for clients most effectively.

Welcoming the London open house event, Cate Kalson, chief people officer at Opencast said: “We’re super-excited that this networking session is happening – and that Opencast is open for business in London. We’re in the capital to celebrate the diversity of people and talent in the UK capital – particularly during the wonderful London Tech Week festival.’

“Our team is doubling in size in 2022, creating new opportunities for great talent to come and join us. So, while we focus on London Tech Week, we’re also here to connect with people looking to make their next career move, and understand our progressive and inclusive working culture.”

Opencast specialises in developing end-to-end enterprise solutions for government, health and social care providers and global financial services, as well as for renewable energy and regional enterprises.

It provides services in digital architecture, user-centred design, software, digital & technical delivery, DevOps, cloud & platform engineering, and live services support.
