Pre-pandemic, only a handful of companies allowed their teams to work remotely full time. During and post-pandemic, remote work is no longer an option that businesses can deny from their workforce. In fact, it determines whether your prized team members will stay with your company or not, hence, The Great Resignation.
Before remote staffing became a popular business option to scale global teams, CrewBloom was founded in 2016 as a fully remote company. CrewBloom’s female co-founders, Brianna Carney and Kate Ringcodan strongly advocate for remote work and how a lot of jobs do not require a workforce to be in office. In fact, a lot of these jobs, like sales and support, can completely be done remotely with the use of remote tools and applications.
Brianna previously worked at Amazon and was dealing with startup business owners. What she found was that these businesses have a common problem – finding and retaining top hires for their businesses. Kate, on the other hand, was an early remote work champion, transitioning as early as 2014 right after graduating from the university. Both saw an opportunity to work together not only to help businesses find affordable top talent, but also to create exciting remote work opportunities.
CrewBloom now has over 150 remote workers scattered all over the 19 different countries globally like the Philippines, South Africa, and India with plans to expand to other parts of the world.
They matchmake businesses with a network of pre-vetted sales and support professionals which helps businesses scale 3x as fast and up to 70% more affordable than traditional hiring efforts. They effortlessly take over the time-consuming aspects of sourcing and recruitment, as well as taking care of HR, Compliance, and Payroll tasks for their client’s outsourced contractors. Brianna stated, “I am convinced that there are talented people all over the world who could be invaluable assets to growing, onshore companies.”
Brianna also expressed, “While working for Amazon I often tried to answer questions such as ‘How was Amazon able to get where they are today? Why do some companies succeed and some fail?’ I frequently was taken back to their global footprint and the way in which they were leveraging lower costing economies’’. This made the duo want to achieve more for CrewBloom and e they are growing rapidly and are gaining more traction from the industry’s big headers.
CrewBloom focuses on matching the top 2% global sales and support talent with startups and Fortune 500 companies.
