South West businesses affected by pandemic have chance to win £1,000 worth of building materials

As part of its Community Fund initiative, RGB Building Supplies is delighted to be launching a new campaign called ‘Surprise Supplies’. Every quarter, two businesses, charities, schools or community groups will receive £1,000 each to spend at an RGB branch.

RGB’s campaign aims to help organisations with projects that could remain uncompleted without the much-needed materials the scheme will provide.

For its first Surprise Supplies giveaway, RGB is inviting local businesses that have been closed for large parts of the past 18 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic to get in contact and explain how receiving £1,000 to spend at an RGB branch would be of benefit to them. It could be that a village pub would like to update its outdoor area, a leisure facility may want to improve its amenities, or an independent shop wants to extend its space. Whatever the reason, RGB would like to hear about it.

Kevin Fenlon, CEO of RGB, commented:

“Our Community Fund has proved to be extremely popular since it launched in 2014. We’re delighted to have donated over £30,000 worth of materials so far to groups and organisations across the region. All of us at RGB are big believers in doing what we can to support our local communities and we’re delighted to be launching a re-vamped idea with Surprise Supplies. We look forward to hearing from businesses who have really struggled since COVID-19 began, to learn how we can help.”

Businesses can apply by emailing RGB@pmwcom.co.uk and explaining how £1,000 worth of materials would help their project. Nominations can also be posted to RGB Community Fund, c/o PMW, PO Box 167, Bideford, Devon, EX39 9DU. The closing date for nominations is Monday 31st May.

From all the nominations received, finalists will be chosen to go through to a vote where the public will be asked to decide which two will receive the donations of materials. RGB will then surprise the winning businesses with the news that they have been selected.

In addition to the Surprise Supplies initiative, RGB will be launching other community focused projects as part of its Community Fund.
