Two new starters for fast-growing creative agency Milk & Tweed

CREATIVE agency Milk & Tweed has added two new members to its team to help keep pace with its growing client list.

Meg Fenner-Jamieson joins the Chippenham, Wiltshire, agency as digital marketing executive. The 24-year-old, who grew up in nearby Melksham, will be a part of the team writing search engine optimised blogs and articles for clients’ websites as well as producing social media and paid advertising material.

She joins from the global marketing department of a multi-national oil company based near Swindon, having first served an apprenticeship in the marketing department of an IT company and then moving to a recruitment agency as a marketing assistant.

The former Melksham Oak pupil said she is already enjoying the varied routine and being part of a larger team. “In my last role Covid-19 meant the business has us all working from home, which after a few months starts to get pretty lonely. I was looking forward to being around a team again and surrounding myself with like-minded people I could bounce ideas off,” she said.

“I wanted to give myself a challenge and this gives me an opportunity to work with a lot of different clients. It’s a really varied role and that’s attractive to me.”

She said working with other creative people in the same office makes the job enjoyable. “It’s a really young, fun business that is in tune with modern marketing and design and that makes it really easy to connect with,” she said.

Junior designer Miles Clements completed a degree in graphic design at Falmouth University before working as a junior graphic designer for a video production house.

The 24-year-old from Purton, near Swindon, said: “I assist the digital marketing department with visuals such as website banners and I’m part of the design team working on logos and branding.

“I really enjoy being part of the design process and seeing a design develop. Everyone contributes and it’s exciting when it goes off to the client and we get their feedback.”

The former Bradon Forest pupils said he wanted the role at Milk & Tweed to develop his design skills and be part of a larger team. “It is a relaxed, chilled atmosphere here but very focused on getting the job done and I really enjoy the fact that it is collaborative,” he said.

“I can be working on a project and someone will suggest ways to improve it in a way I wouldn’t have thought about and I like that because you learn quite a lot that way. There’s a lot of experience here and I’m learning all the time.”

Creative director Jake Jeffries said the new additions were necessary to maintain the service to clients as new work rolls in. “We are very fortunate to be able to recruit young talent like Meg and Miles and we can see the difference they are making already,” he said.

“As we continue to grow we will be looking for more people like them because the more we bring new clients on board, the more the workload increases. We pride ourselves on the personal service we give to everyone so we need to make sure we maintain that.”
