Caribbean Blinds’ newest product receives recognition with triple award shortlisting

Outdoor shading systems manufacturer, Caribbean Blinds, is thrilled to have made it to the finals at the Build It Awards 2022, as well as this year’s Babergh & Mid Suffolk District Councils’ Innovation Awards.

After showcasing its latest product, the Dominica Blind, the Sudbury based firm was shortlisted in not one but two categories at the Build It Awards – ‘Innovation in Insulation’ and ‘Best Sustainable Technology or Product’ – in addition to being named as a finalist in the ‘Construction Innovation’ category at the Babergh & Mid Suffolk District Councils’ Innovation Awards.

The Build It Awards – in association with BuildStore – are one of the most coveted accolades in the self-build industry, bringing together architects, manufacturers and key industry figures in recognition of innovation and excellence in the custom and self-build home sector for the last 11 years.

Designed to recognise and celebrate the incredible companies and individuals who push boundaries, think creatively and change behaviours, the bi-annual Babergh & Mid Suffolk District Councils’ Innovation Awards are open to all forward-thinking businesses within the region, no matter their size, industry or sector.

Stuart Dantzic, Managing Director at Caribbean Blinds commented: “We are extremely proud that our latest product offering is being recognised by both industry and regional awards alike. The self-build and renovation sector represents an important route to market for our products and our team takes pride in not just innovative external shading solutions that create thermally and visually comfortable indoor spaces but expert advice and support to ensure our products are seamlessly integrated into each unique project.

“Like many other businesses, we have had to adapt and change our way of working over the last two years, and we’re ecstatic that it’s paying off. We have seen how many local companies have made a considerable, positive contribution to their sector, whilst putting innovation at the heart of what they do – and we’re honoured to be celebrated amongst them all.”

“These shortlistings are the most recent triumph in a string of awards success this year and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for the finals in the coming months!”

The Babergh & Mid Suffolk District Councils’ Innovation Awards ceremony will be held at Wherstead Park, Ipswich, on Thursday 20th October, while all winners of the Build It Awards 2022 will be announced at a special gala dinner on Friday 25th November.

The Dominica Blind is at the height of innovation for its design and energy efficiency and offers the highest level of solar heat and light control to the glazed areas of properties including sliding/folding doors, preventing unwanted solar heat gain and excessive light to maintain a healthy indoor space.
