Laura Walsh named General Manager at payment solutions leader ePayMe
ePayMe, the leading outsourced payroll services provider for the recruitment industry, has named Laura Walsh as the company’s new General Manager, with overall responsibility for all of its day-to-day operations.
Walsh joined ePayMe in 2013 from outsourced business services company, Regus, where she worked in Customer Relations. At ePayMe, she rose through the ranks to be named Client Services Director. Prior to Regus, she worked with payment transactions company Qixpay and with courier company City Link.
In her new position, she will report to Sarah Johnston, Managing Director of ePayMe, who will now take on a more strategic role. The company’s Finance Manager and Sales Manager will now report to Walsh, who will have responsibility for general operations as well as professional development, industry relations, compliance and accreditation.
Sarah Johnston, Managing Director of ePayMe, says: “Laura has been brilliant for the company in the six years she has been with us, and it was time to recognise just how much of a contribution she has made to our success. Her ability to get on with contractors and recruitment agencies alike is phenomenal, as is her understanding of the complexities of the rules and regulations governing work, pay, tax and pensions. This is a well-deserved promotion which reflects her abilities and her work ethic.”
The promotion comes at an exciting and challenging time for the company and the industry it operates in. ePayMe is a leader in the provision of specialist payroll support for recruitment agencies and for contractors, an area which is becoming more complex and more regulated as time goes by.
“ePayMe is a brilliant place to work and I love talking to agencies and contractors and helping them sort out their pay and tax affairs. Our industry is going through some big changes at the moment, and we need to make sure we are always delivering the best possible services and the most up-to-date advice to all our clients,” says Walsh.
The announcement follows the news of ePayMe being named an Approved Supplier by employment industry recognition scheme, Professional Passport, at the same time as becoming an affiliate member of APSCo, the international trade association for the recruitment industry.
