More than 60 employers and organisations will be taking part in Bridgend County Borough’s annual jobs fair today.
The free event, which will be held between 10am–1pm on Thursday 19th September at Bridgend Life Centre, has been organised by Bridgend County Borough Council and Job Centre Plus to offer advice and support on a range of work, training and volunteering opportunities.
Some of the employers taking part will include John Raymond Transport, South Wales Police, Dunraven Windows, First Cymru, Hafod Housing, Transport For Wales Rail, Home Bargains, Nos Da Health Care and many more, with a range of temporary and permanent vacancies available to apply for on the day.
Staff from Bridgend County Borough Council will be on hand to provide details about current vacancies within the local authority, advice on training and support opportunities for school and college graduates, volunteering positions and more.
The Leader, Cllr Huw David said:
“The annual jobs fair always proves to be very popular with job-seekers and employers alike, and I am delighted that Bridgend County Borough Council and Job Centre Plus are working together again to organise this year’s event.
“It also offers a wealth of information and support on volunteering and training opportunities, and has earned its reputation as an event where people can access all the help they need to achieve success.”
“This year’s fair has attracted a large number of potential employers, and I am sure that it is going to be of great benefit to local residents.”
