CAMRADATA’s Funds Europe launches Fund Tech awards to recognise achievements within European fund technology

CAMRADATA’s publishing arm Funds Europe, the leading publication for the European cross-border fund management industry, is pleased to announce the launch of the Fund Tech awards in partnership with Sionic, a global financial services specialist.

These awards will recognise the excellence, professionalism and creativity with the European fund technology arena and are open to organisations based in Europe or providing solutions into the European market.

They are an extension of the awards run by Funds Europe, the Fund Europe Awards, combined with the Fund Tech project, which was launched three years ago to extend the focus on technology in the investment funds industry.

There are 17 awards in total, across four categories:

  • Products
  • Development and Innovation
  • Outcomes and
  • People and Contributions

Natasha Silva, Managing Director – Client Relations, CAMRADATA said:

“These awards were designed in 2019 long before the Coronavirus pandemic hit us. Over the last couple of months, we have seen the importance of technology and innovation in solving many unimagined requirements.

“The awards will highlight the extraordinary contribution technology, suppliers and people have made to the industry. There are many companies, clients and people who deserve recognition and we hope to celebrate these at the event we are looking to host in September.”

Alan Chalmers, Publisher at Funds Europe said:

“We see more and more emphasis on technology in the funds industry and this has moved to centre stage in recent months. We responded to this move with the launch of Fund Tech and are now splitting off technology from the Funds Europe awards to give greater emphasis to the technology area. This will profile best of breed, innovation, successful outcomes and provide recognition for the key people driving the industry.”

Jonathon Hammond, Partner at Sionic added:

“These new awards are about showcasing and celebrating innovation, contribution and value. At Sionic, we work closely with a wide range of international clients and we believe it is essential to recognise the people and achievements both in leadership and behind the scenes: the vendor improvements, implementations, and best-in-class software that are fundamental to a resilient, innovative sector.”

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Funds Europe who are a respected industry leader to host the awards. I’m even looking forward to the challenging task of judging the entries.”
