Bovis Homes will open the doors to its new Judith Gardens development in Sawtry this Autumn.
Judith Gardens is a collection of 295 houses with a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, including 118 affordable properties. It will be located off Gidding Road.
Bovis Homes is part of the newly-formed Vistry Group, which includes Bovis Homes, Linden Homes and Vistry Partnerships.
Hannah Dorner, Sales Manager for Bovis Homes, said: “We are excited to be preparing for our launch at Judith Gardens this Autumn. We will be releasing the first homes for sale and welcoming visitors by appointment.
“Construction is already underway at the site, with the work progressing well. The first homes will be completed and ready to hand over to their new owners towards the end of the year.
“We are already seeing lots of interest in the development. Sawtry holds strong appeal for people wanting to live in a well-connected village. It really does offer the best of both worlds.”
Bovis Homes will contribute over £2,250,000 to the local community via a Section 106 agreement as part of the development in Sawtry, including a financial boost for local primary education totalling £1,997,783.
The developer will also contribute more than £2,395,000 towards infrastructure to support the development through the Community Infrastructure Levy.
The name Judith Gardens makes reference to Judith of Lens, the niece of William the Conqueror who built a manor for Judith in Sawtry.
The development was named by Vistry employee Elaine Mumby as part of a competition among staff.
Elaine, 35, is an assistant site manager at Vistry’s Linden Homes Springfields development in Deeping St James. She started work with Linden Homes as a trainee 18 months ago, before Vistry Group was formed.
Hannah said: “Earlier this year, we invited our team to come up with name suggestions for the new Sawtry site.
“We were delighted with Elaine’s idea and the historical inspiration of Judith Gardens, which adds some extra local charm to the development.”
Anyone who is interested in homes at the development can register their interest. They will receive an e-brochure with details about the development and house types and will be offered the chance to make an appointment with the sales team when the development opens.
