Billingshurst-based marketing agency PMW Communications has been named as a finalist in the national Construction Marketing Awards 2020.

The awards aim to showcase and recognise marketing excellence within the construction industry and PMW has been shortlisted in the Best Use of Press & Public Relations and Best Distributor Campaign categories for a PR project it ran on behalf of its client RGB Building Supplies.

The agency was tasked with promoting the builders merchant’s Tools for Africa Appeal, which encouraged people to donate preloved tools which were passed on to the charity Amigos. The charity provides vocational training to young people in Africa and the tools would go on to be used by students to learn construction skills and develop careers to help lift themselves and their families out of poverty. The campaign was such a success that six tonnes of tools were received.

Peter Sutton, Managing Director at PMW Communications, commented:

“We were delighted to be involved in the project by generating an extensive amount of media coverage and awareness for such a worthwhile campaign. Our team worked extremely hard to create tangible results that would make a difference to the success of the appeal and I’m thrilled our efforts have been recognised by the judges of the Construction Marketing Awards.”

The winners of the Construction Marketing Awards 2020 were announced during a virtual ceremony on Thursday 26th November.
