New Weston-super-Mare development set to launch this month

Around 750 people have already registered their interest in a new housing development in Weston-super-Mare ahead of its launch this month.

Bellway is building 150 homes at Mead Fields, off Wolvershill Road, including 131 properties for private sale and 19 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership.

Construction work is well underway on the site, which will feature a range of two-bedroom apartments as well as two, three and four-bedroom houses.

The first properties will be released onto the market later this month and two showhomes will be open for viewings, strictly by appointment only in-line with coronavirus guidelines.

Mead Fields is part of a wider proposed new neighbourhood of 1,150 homes which has been granted planning permission by North Somerset Council.

Rachel Way, Sales Manager for Bellway South West, said: “The level of interest that our Mead Fields development is already generating reflects both the high demand for new-build homes in Weston-super-Mare generally and the desirability of this location in particular.

“The site benefits from several amenities right on its doorstep, including shops, supermarket and takeaway outlets, as well as being only a 10-minute drive from the town centre.

“We are expecting Mead Fields to be particularly popular with commuters thanks to its excellent transport links. Residents will be just minutes from the M5 and within walking distance of Worle railway station, which has direct services to Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads.

“The homes at Mead Fields are from Bellway’s Artisan Collection, our flagship range of contemporary house types which combine traditional craftsmanship with modern construction techniques. The mix of apartments and houses will appeal to a variety of buyers, from those looking to take their first steps on the property ladder to families seeking more space in an attractive setting on the edge of town.

“Our four-bedroom detached Scrivener and Milliner showhomes will give buyers an insight into the design and layout of the larger properties at Mead Fields, as well as the build quality which is standard across our Artisan range.”
