Green Park Content (GPC) appoints Sir William Goodenough as Chairman

Global content marketing and brand publishing agency, Green Park Content [GPC], has appointed Sir William Goodenough to its Board of Directors in the role of Chairman.

A highly accomplished and a proven industry leader, Sir William Goodenough has had a long, successful  and prestigious career as one of the founders of Design Bridge, a leading, global Design Agency, established in 1986. Having held many senior leadership roles within the business as Head of Sales, Managing Director, CEO and finally Chairman of Design Bridge, Sir Goodenough sold the company to WPP in 2019.

In joining the GPC Board, Sir Goodenough will now work closely with CEO, Sven Lung, and the rest of the Senior Leadership Team, to maximise his expertise in building management structures, skillsets and systems to significantly scale the GPC brand across its global offices in London, Jakarta, Singapore, New York and Sao Paulo.

Sir William Goodenough, new Chairman of Green Park Content, confirmed: “I am honoured to join Green Park Content and to work with its world-class team and mega-brand clients. As Chairman, my role is fundamentally about imparting advice using my tried and tested experiences and learnings. My motivation is to help make this young company scale, sustain and accelerate.

I’m really enjoying working with Green Park Content to help drive its industry and thought leadership status in SEO-driven brand publishing and search, to power client-centricity and to ignite growth. With the agency’s proven track record of success, world-class client portfolio, award-winning work and a clear strategy for growth and globalisation, success will surely come naturally and the current trend of hyper-growth will continue. I am proud to be part of the exciting and transformational journey ahead.”

Both Sir Goodenough and GPC’s CEO and Founder, Sven Lung, share the overarching, fundamental belief that the key to a successful and sustainable business lies in the success of its people. Sir Goodenough explains:

“Sven and I instantly got on because of our shared passion for business, our passion for people and for making people successful. Part of GPC’s strategy will emulate the formula of success we developed at Design Bridge, which is to employ really talented people with good values, who we support and empower to develop their careers. Ultimately, we aim to help our people fulfil their full potential. You only get that through good leadership and sound advice.

“I believe that if you have great people, really good client relationships, the business is running well and you are servicing clients with a world-class product, the business will inevitably thrive and grow.”

Sven Lung is thrilled to be working side by side with Sir Goodneough. Discussing his appointment, he said:, “After successfully founding BRANDALLEY as the top private sale operator in the UK with more than 15 million members, I founded Green Park Content with the goal to help Brands become media brands by implementing brand publishing strategies. Sir Will brings with him an amazing proven system that is already helping us to grow and break our own ceilings and deliver global scale.  We are honoured and thrilled to welcome Sir Will as our Chairman.”

Dusica Neill, Managing Director UK, shared her delight in welcoming Sir Goodenough to the GPC Board and has already seen the business transform and grow as a direct result of his appointment. Neill says,

“It’s been a brilliant learning process working with Will, that’s for sure. We have been very receptive to his advice, firstly because of his impressive, entrepreneurial business background and his significant, multiple achievements, but on top of that we are already seeing the results and rewards. It has been a transformational experience for everyone on our team. We have raised the bar significantly and this is just the beginning, there is a lot more to come. We have a very clear GPC business roadmap of where we are heading, how we’re going to get there and we have a very clear vision of what success looks like.”

In addition to his role as GPC’s Chairman, Goodenough also holds other advisory positions such as Governor of Goodenough College in London and of Gresham’s School, as well as Trustee of Norfolk Rivers’ Trust.

Headquartered in London, GPC brings together unique data-driven insights and expertise in SEO content, with exceptional creative execution that drives exceptional results. Supported by a team of over 200 SEO, content and creative specialists, the agency boasts an impressive client portfolio of mega-brands including Unilever, Danone and Reckitt.
