The Analox Group has been named Best Global Gas Sensing Products Manufacturer for 2021 by SME News. In receiving the Northern Enterprise Award, officials from the Stokesley-based business said the Award recognises the hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence exhibited by Analox team members over the past 12 months.
According to SME News officials, the Northern Enterprise Awards represent innovative, driven and pioneering businesses based in the North of England. The pandemic has hindered many businesses and industries and continues to do so as we move forward, but the business sectors in Northern England have displayed a solid sense of resilience and have continued to go from strength to strength.
While working remotely during most of 2021, the Analox team continued to press forward with numerous product innovations and gas analysis products that are used not just in England and Europe, but throughout the entire world. Analox technology is currently in use miles under the ocean aboard a variety of military submarines, on the surface keeping sailors safe and even in the outer reaches of space aboard the International Space Station and numerous “space tourism” initiatives.
According to Becca Dodds, Group Business Development Manager for Analox, “While the industries that we serve and the technologies that are used have been transformed forever by COVID-19, putting customers first and partnering with the brightest and best to create stunning solutions remains the same.”
The pandemic has affected virtually every company worldwide. For the Analox team, this situation was viewed as a challenge AND an opportunity. According to Dodds, the team helped study COVID-19 monitoring techniques and contributed to numerous COVID-19 related CO2 studies in local schools and government buildings. The team was also called upon to provide oxygen monitors to hospitals and carbon dioxide monitors used by medical technicians using dry ice to preserve COVID-19 vaccines during transport.
The Analox Group celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2021. Since the company’s start, it has moved from a company focused on commercial diving, to an international leader in gas analysis, detection and safety. Today, Analox products are used in more than a dozen different industries including hospitality, food and beverage, agriculture, aerospace, environmental, medical research facilities, submarines, naval vessels, and space exploration.
