From NYC’s Central Park to Liverpool, Mozaico Brings Iconic Mosaic Design to the UK

Commissioned by the Salvation Army in Strawberry Fields, Mozaico took inspiration from the iconic ‘Imagine’ mosaic located in New York’s Central Park to create this large medallion mosaic measuring 6.4 meters in diameter.

It took 16 consecutive weeks for Mozaico’s craftsmen to complete this impressive mosaic which consists of thousands of natural stone tessera. Four Mozaico artists put together mosaic pieces using their fingers or even tweezers to place and glue the tiles, sometimes trimming pieces to fit perfectly within an area.
