First homes to be released for sale at new Kettering development

Bellway’s Hanwood Park development in Kettering is set to launch later this summer.

The first homes at the development, off Barton Road, will be released for sale on Saturday 7 August.

Construction work is currently underway at the site, which lies at the western edge of the wider East Kettering Sustainable Urban Extension (SUE) scheme.

Luke Southgate, Sales Director at Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “We are delivering 167 new homes at Hanwood Park, including 133 properties for private sale and 34 affordable homes for local people.

“Hanwood Park will also feature a new linear park to the north of the development, providing residents and the wider community with additional open space to enjoy.

“There is high demand for new homes right now, especially in semi-rural locations like Hanwood Park, so we are pleased to be contributing towards the creation of this much-needed new neighbourhood as part of the wider East Kettering SUE.

“Construction work is progressing well on the site, and we are on schedule to complete the first homes ready for buyers to move into from this winter.”

The 133 private homes at Hanwood Park will comprise a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties.

The wider East Kettering SUE consortium development will eventually deliver around 5,500 new homes, secondary and primary schools, employment areas, open space, local facilities and associated infrastructure.

Prices for the first homes at Hanwood Park will be confirmed by Bellway when the development launches in August.

Shirley housebuilder releases first homes early in response to huge demand

The first homes have been released for sale at a new housing development in Shirley near Solihull – after going on sale early due to high demand.

Bellway brought forward the release of its first phase of properties at Lucas Green, off Dog Kennel Lane, after being inundated with enquiries from prospective purchasers.

Information on the first homes for sale can be found at Bellway’s nearby Tidbury Heights development in Tidbury on Friday 16 April.

A selection of two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom houses are available, with prices starting from £239,500.

More homes will be released onto the market in the autumn when a sales office will open at the development.

Bellway is building 76 homes on the site, which was previously occupied by Lucas Engineering and is part of a wider proposed scheme of 260 homes.

Marie Richards, Sales Director for Bellway West Midlands, said: “Such has been the level of interest from buyers in the Solihull area that we have taken the unusual step of releasing the first homes for sale at Lucas Green several months ahead of schedule.

“We have received a huge number of enquiries since announcing our plans for the site. The site is in a highly sought-after location just a 10-minute drive from Solihull town centre and has good road and rail links to Birmingham. It is therefore appealing to a broad mix of buyers, from young professionals and first-time buyers to growing families and commuters.

“With construction work underway, we are looking forward to welcoming visitors to Lucas Green in the autumn. In the meantime, anyone interested in the new homes at the development can find out more by contacting our sales team at Tidbury Heights.”

The homes at Lucas Green will include two-bedroom apartments as well as three, four and five-bedroom houses.

First homes to go on sale this month at new housing development in Bottesford

Bellway is launching a new housing development this month in the Leicestershire village of Bottesford.

Construction work is now well underway at The Vale, off Grantham Road, where 60 new homes are being built for the local area.

A mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes will be provided, with showhomes set to open in May and the first residents expected to move in during the summer.

A total of 41 of the properties will be for private sale, while 19 affordable homes will be available for local people through rent or shared ownership.

Heidi Higgins, Sales Manager for Bellway East Midlands, said: “We are preparing to release the first homes for sale at The Vale this month, where we’re providing a variety of house sizes and styles to cater for all buyers – including a choice of two-bedroom properties designed with first-time buyers in mind.

“This is set to be a popular location with families, within walking distance of the village centre and the village’s schools for children of both primary and secondary ages. Historic Belvoir Castle is just over five miles from home, overlooking the Vale of Belvoir and set in 15,000 acres of land.

“The Vale is also only a 10-minute walk from Bottesford railway station, which has direct services to Nottingham, about 20 miles away by road.

“As well as delivering new homes to the village, we will also be investing more than £250,000 in local services through the planning agreement for the development.”

Bellway is contributing more than £170,000 towards education, £43,000 towards bus passes and £26,000 towards healthcare, as well as further contributions for bus stop improvements and libraries.
