Acuity Law Corporate Healthcare Team Celebrates Successful End to the Tax Year

The Corporate Healthcare Team at leading UK law firm Acuity Law is celebrating after completing 40 deals in the dental sector in Q1 of 2025.

The Corporate Healthcare Team’s specialist dental mergers and acquisitions (M&A) division, understood to be the largest dedicated dental M&A team of any UK law firm, finalised the deals for individual and corporate providers covering purchases, sales, investments, restructurings and refinancings.

Q1 coincided with the end of both the NHS year and the tax year which were key drivers in the deal volumes.

Acuity Law Represents Discover Momenta in Acquisition by Liva Healthcare

One of the UK’s leading law firms, Acuity Law, has represented the selling shareholders of Discover Momenta and its subsidiary, Momenta Newcastle, in their acquisition by Liva Healthcare, enhancing their ability to offer treatment options for chronic diseases linked to lifestyle choices.

Momenta provides and licenses digital, virtual and in-person healthy lifestyle programmes to National Health Service (NHS) organisations, local authorities and other third parties across the UK, to help manage long-term conditions such as obesity, Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Liva, a digital platform offering human-led interventions for chronic health problems, will expand its reach through the acquisition of Momenta. The deal consolidates Liva’s position as a global leader in therapeutic lifestyle solutions, leveraging the strengths of both companies to improve patient care, with Acuity representing the selling shareholders throughout the acquisition process.

Over 155,000 people have participated in Momenta’s programmes.

Pembrokeshire women set sail with Acuity Law’s support

Acuity Law, one of the UK’s leading law firms, is sponsoring a team of four Pembrokeshire women, as they embark on a sailing challenge to raise funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis and hospice care.

As part of the ‘Cruising Free’ challenge, Sophie Pierce (32), Polly Zipperlen (50), Janine Williams (70), and Miyah Periam (24) are undertaking a 3,200-mile sail from Lanzarote to Antigua, with the goal of breaking several world records along the way. Sophie is set to become the first person with Cystic Fibrosis to row across an ocean, and Janine hopes to be the oldest woman to do so.

The members of Neyland Rowing Club want to inspire women, especially those who are older or living with chronic health conditions, to embrace new challenges. Across the 50-60 day journey, the team will row continuously in their 10-metre boat, which is equipped with 1,000 dehydrated meals, advanced communications, a water desalination machine, and a fridge.

Acuity Law takes pride in its commitment to ESG initiatives, and community support plays a key part in that. Providing financial support for the ‘Cruising Free’ challenge, which aims to raise funds for cystic fibrosis, aligns seamlessly with its wider objective to add value to the communities it is part of.

The Atlantic Dash began on1st February, as the team set off in their rowing boat named, ‘Spirit of Bluestone,’ in honour of Pembrokeshire-based National Park Resort, a key sponsor of the challenge. With a target of £150,000, they aim to complete the journey by early April, and have already raised significant funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Paul Sartori Hospice at Home, and Emily’s Entourage, charities that hold a special place in the team’s hearts.

Acuity Law advises Do-It Solutions on acquisition by Lexxic

Acuity Law has advised the shareholders of Do-It Solutions, a global market leader in neurodiverse screening and assessments, on its acquisition by Lexxic, a specialist in workplace neurodiversity assessment, training and accreditation services.

 

This deal between Cardiff-based Do-It Solutions and Lexxic is the latest high-profile deal for the leading commercial law firm.

 

Do-IT was founded by Professor Amanda Kirby and is an internationally recognised tech-for-good company that has created highly effective web-based tools, supported by training and consultancy services, to deliver market-leading solutions across a wide and expanding range of sectors including corporate, justice and education.

 

The acquisition will enable Lexxic, a portfolio company of Agathos Management LLP, to expand its client offering by providing an end-to-end service, incorporating Do-It Solutions’ innovative tech-led approach.

My Digital Lawyer provides a range of digital tools and services, including cutting-edge automated document builder Document Assist, an extensive bank of legal know-how, and a growing library of exclusive articles and content.
