Fabulosa Launches New Value Range

Fragrance-led home and lifestyle brand Fabulosa has expanded its extensive product range and further developed its brand hierarchy with the introduction of a new value collection, Simply Fabulosa, in efforts to mitigate the impact of the increasing cost of living on consumers.

Supporting its customers to access affordable household cleaning products amidst the turbulence of the current economic environment, the new collection launched by Fabulosa consists of a suite of four ready to use cleaning sprays at a highly competitive price point of 59p per 350ml bottle.

Available now in Home Bargains, the Simply Fabulosa Bathroom Cleaner, Kitchen Cleaner, Multi Surface Cleaner and Vinegar Cleaner sprays have been released in the fragrance ‘Zesty Fruit’, a fresh, fruity strawberry scent enlivened by hints of raspberry, pomegranate, and guava with a refreshing blast of lime.

Adam Burnett, Group Marketing Director at Fabulosa, commented: “Affordability, together with fragrance and efficacy, is central to Fabulosa. As a consumer-centric brand, in the current economic climate we are endeavouring to ensure essential cleaning products are available and affordable to households across the UK.”

Adam continued, “The launch of Simply Fabulosa means we are now able to offer our customers greater value across their favourite products, providing an opportunity to save without sacrifice, whilst further broadening the appeal of our brand. From our luxury for less proposition with our existing and highly successful House of Fabulosa range, to the new Simply Fabulosa value collection, we can now more confidently than ever say Fabulosa has a product and fragrance for every nose, for every need, and for every budget.”

Following its entry into the FMCG market in 2019, through an expertly executed, fast-moving schedule of exciting category-leading new product development, together with highly effective marketing campaigns, Fabulosa changed the perception of cleaning, and has rapidly taken value and volume share from well-established iconic household brands.

Fabulosa has since leveraged its strategic positioning and focus to bring fragrance to alternative lifestyle sectors, widening reach and disrupting not only the cleaning sector but also other FMCG categories outside of this category including home fragrance (candles, wax melts and diffusers), shoe and trainer care, and personal (bath and body), whilst it continues to grow and innovate with prolific NPD ongoing in Surface Care, Air Care, Laundry Care and Task Specific ranges including car care and garden care.

The brand is also making significant inroads into the export market. With its sights set firmly on international expansion, the brand has a presence in leading European retail chains representing 3,000 locations across the continent and Fabulosa collections are now available throughout Europe including France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Poland, The Czech Republic, Austria and Italy.

Based in Spain, Cid de Rivera re-joins Commvault just as the company has announced record quarterly and annual results, including an incredible growth of the company’s Metallic SaaS portfolio which has grown from $1M to $50M ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) in just six quarters.

“Commvault’s focus on our customers and partners as well as the current transformation disruption and our approach to it are the main reasons that I was attracted back to the company,” said Cid de Rivera. “I had many wonderful experiences in my previous time with Commvault, and I can’t wait to be a key member of the team as International VP of Sales Engineering as we realise the opportunities ahead of us with our clear technology and solution provision leadership. Commvault’s new corporate structure, leadership, and SaaS functionality with Metallic means we have unlimited possibilities to help our clients and prospects to be truly successful. Global expansion as Get Ahead welcomes first international franchisee in Australia

Virtual outsourcing agency Get Ahead is delighted to welcome its first international franchisee. Taryn Wynne will be running the Get Ahead Australia & New Zealand headquarters from her Sydney base.

Taryn has over 25 years of experience in a variety of business sectors. She is a qualified cost and management accountant with experience in several industries including consumer products, IT services, agriculture, hospitality and family businesses. Most recently, she was a Head of Finance and Shared Services in the Construction industry, before taking the leap to start her own business.

“I was introduced to Rebecca Newenham at Get Ahead by a mutual friend,” Taryn says. “I had already recognised the need to help small businesses in Australia and began working on how I could use my business expertise to make a difference. I appreciate how there are just not enough hours in the day for all the “noise” that goes with owning a business. I am also amazed daily by the people I meet who have the most fantastic skills but who don’t have a channel to use them as they don’t want a big corporate job. I aimed to join those two forces together and after speaking with Rebecca I realised that Get Ahead aligned exactly with that. Partnering with Get Ahead enabled me to benefit from an already established brand and launch into my home territory of Australia & New Zealand.”

Despite being on other sides of the world, Rebecca and Taryn soon realised that they have much in common. Both are passionate about supporting small businesses and empowering skilled freelancers to access flexible work. Rebecca says, “It’s been a pleasure welcoming new UK franchisees over the past few years, but I was aware that there were global opportunities for our business too. When a friend introduced me to Taryn, it felt like a great fit. I know our business is in safe hands with Taryn running our Australian Head Office. We are now actively looking for new franchisees to run different territories across Australia and New Zealand, as well as talented virtual experts to join her team.”

“Virtual assistants were already a well-known concept in Australia, even before Covid-19,” Taryn adds. “Many businesses are well aware of the value of outsourcing. Though there are also still people trying to do everything themselves as they think outsourcing is too expensive. I have been busy networking on and off-line to raise awareness of Get Ahead and the seamless service we can offer local businesses, as well as building my local team. I am committed to keeping our team of virtual experts local and not using offshore VAs. There are so many talented people right here in Australia. My role is to connect them with the right clients so that they can both achieve success.”

2021 is shaping up to be a milestone year for Get Ahead. Alongside welcoming the first international franchisee, the business has welcomed new franchisees in England and been shortlisted in several national awards, including the HSBC British Franchise Awards 2021. Rebecca concludes, “I continue to be amazed by the tenacity and enthusiasm of my franchisees and I thoroughly enjoy mentoring them all. With regional directors in Berkshire & North Hants, East Midlands, Leeds, Oxford, Suffolk & Essex, Surrey, West London, Wirral & Cheshire West, York and Harrogate, we are well equipped to provide effective outsourced services to businesses across the UK. I am excited about this first step of our global journey and looking forward to supporting Taryn as she develops Get Ahead in Australia & New Zealand over the next few months.”

Employers with staff overseas: be aware of HIV/AIDS challenges

HIV continues to affect many people daily. In 2018, approximately 37.9 million people across the globe were reported as living with HIV/AIDS, and there were an estimated 1.7 million individuals worldwide who became newly infected with HIV in 2018.

There are many parts of the world where HIV/AIDS can be rife, including those that are popular places to develop business, and it’s important that employers are aware, says Towergate Health & Protection.

A global issue

For example, India has the third largest HIV epidemic in the worldRecently there has been renewed concern that the annual global number of new infections among adults has remained static and therefore not decreasing.

In September 2018, China announced that the number of citizens living with HIV/AIDS increased by 14%, with more than 820,000 people infected. By the second quarter of 2018, there were reports of 40,000 new casesWhile there has been progress in combatting viral transmissions in some regions, it’s important employers who have staff travelling to locations where the disease is rife are knowledgeable of the situation.

Plan ahead

Only a few countries ban travel for people living with HIV, but some have entry restrictions for longer stays, especially when residency and work permits are involved.

Travel restrictions for people with HIV can change quickly and so extra caution should be taken. For employers planning to send staff on an overseas assignment it’s strongly advised that they always check the rules of a location, and particularly any regulations that affect people living with HIV, before allowing staff to travel. For example, in The United Arab Emirates a HIV test is required for a work visa to be granted.

Sarah Dennis, head of international at Towergate Health & Protection said:

“It’s important to remember that there have been huge developments in recent years in the insurance industry and businesses need to be aware that a lot of international healthcare policies include cover for HIV/AIDS. Businesses have a responsibility to make sure that staff are aware where epidemics are rife and to make sure appropriate cover for staff is always in place.”
